Mission

To promote activities that enhance interest and provide greater knowledge of entomology within our group and the community at large.

History

The Popenoe Entomology Club was founded in 1921 and is named for Edwin A. Popenoe (1853-1913), the founder of the entomology program at Kansas State University.

Club activities include…

  • Fellowship and professional development opportunities for students

  • Funding opportunities for travel to meetings and other professional development activities

  • Public education through demonstrations at the KSU Insect Zoo, KSU Open House, and area schools

  • Outreach to the community by activities supporting 4-H and FFA youth clubs
